Simply Beautiful

Several times a week, I drive past an old barn in a field. I never paid it too much attention until recently. Then one day all of a sudden, I was able to see its beauty. There wasn't anything exceptional about it, nothing eye catching, just an ordinary old barn. But the last several times i drove by I began to see it as so much more. It's beauty was in its simplicity. It had a specific job at one time. For whatever reason it is no longer in use. Maybe the owner left it behind because it built a bigger, better barn...one with all of the newest "barn gadgets".(If there is such a thing. Usually we see the large red barns, or the ones with a lot of space and huge machinery inside. Often in life, I think we overlook the normal, average things in life. We don't even acknowledge the existence of someone or something ordinary or plain. We begin to take for granted the small things God blesses us with...we ignore all of the "old barns" in our lives...feeling like we need newer, bigger, better
